The University of Naples “L’Orientale” founded in 1732 by Matteo Ripa, is the oldest European institution of Oriental Studies. From its foundation, the university has fostered strong international collaborations, preparing students for global challenges. It currently offers six undergraduate programs in fields such as American and Latin American Studies, Archaeology, Comparative Studies, Eastern and African Cultures, Political Science, and Translation Studies.
